Peeples
"Grant Peoples played the night before the festival at The Milltop Tavern in the old St. Augustine 's Spanish Quarter. The Milltop is known as the "Chamber of the Arts" as it has always been a "hang-out" for poets, painters, folkies, etc. Its where I met Gamble Rogers (several times) and where I hung on every word he said. he was kinda like Ramblin' Jack Elliott because you never knew when the discussion might take off on a story he would tell with all of the colloquialisms, exaggerations, similes and metaphors that would keep Mark Twain on his toes. So, included is his "Sunshine State" a fun-poking look at this over-sized peninsula." - Doug Bowman - No One Will Ever Know - Billy and Harry
from Back to Basics - Billy and Harry from Bellbuckle, Tennessee.
